Scripture: Genesis 39:2 NKJV
“The LORD was with Joseph, and he was a successful man…”
Joseph’s story reminds us that God is not only the God of our destination; He is the God of our process. Genesis 39:2 was spoken while Joseph was a slave in Egypt not while he was sitting on the throne. His circumstances had changed, but God’s presence had not. Sometimes we expect God’s presence to mean the absence of difficulty, yet Joseph teaches us that God can be with you even in a season you never planned for.
The process may take you through unfamiliar places, like the pit and prison, or through times of rejection, waiting, testing, and seasons where your progress seems invisible. But God’s presence is working even when your situation has not changed. Joseph was developing character, wisdom, discipline, leadership, and capacity long before Pharaoh placed him in the palace. The process was preparing him for the promise. What feels like a delay may actually be divine preparation.
Therefore, don’t despise your current season. Learn from it, grow through it and serve God faithfully in it. God can make you fruitful in a place you never expected to be. Your present location and situation does not determine your final destination. If God is with you, your process is not wasted. One day, you will look back and realize that God was using every chapter to prepare you for the next one.
I Declare: God is with me in every stage of my journey. I receive grace to trust Him in the process, remain faithful in difficult seasons, and grow through every experience. Nothing I am going through will be wasted. God is developing my character, capacity, wisdom, and influence for the assignment ahead.
