Scripture: Colossians 3:16 NKJV
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom…”
The Word of God was never meant to be something we occasionally hear; it is meant to take residence within us. Paul says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.” To dwell means to inhabit, to remain, to have a settled place. When the Word lives richly in you, it begins to shape your thoughts, govern your decisions, strengthen your faith, and influence the way you respond to life.
A person filled with the Word will eventually speak the Word, think according to the Word, and live by the principles of the Word. When pressure comes, what is inside you will determine what comes out of you. Jesus overcame temptation with, “It is written.” The Word gives you truth when emotions are confusing, direction when the path is unclear, and strength when circumstances are difficult. Don’t merely carry a Bible in your hand; carry its truth in your heart.
Make room for the Word today. Read it, meditate on it, obey it, speak it, and allow it to correct you. The goal is not simply to know more Scripture but to become one with Scripture and eventually more like Christ. When the Word dwells richly in you, your life becomes a living expression of God’s wisdom and truth. What fills your heart will eventually shape your life.
I DECLARE
The Word of Christ dwells richly in me. My mind is filled with God’s truth, my heart is strengthened by His promises, and my decisions are guided by His wisdom. I will not be ruled by fear, confusion, or circumstances. The Word will produce faith, wisdom, character, and fruitfulness in my life, in Jesus’ name.
