Scripture:“But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” James 1:4 (KJV)
One of the greatest mistakes we make in difficult seasons is judging the entire story by one painful chapter. But God sees the whole story.Joseph saw a pit; God saw a palace.David saw a wilderness; God saw a throne. The disciples saw a cross; God saw resurrection. The chapter may be painful, but the Author has not finished writing.
Counting it all joy does not mean denying the reality of pain. It means refusing to let pain have the final interpretation. You can cry and still have faith. You can be disappointed and still have hope. You can be tired and still trust God.You can face a battle and still have joy. Biblical joy is deeper than happiness. Happiness depends largely on circumstances; joy is rooted in the character and promises of God.
So today, lift your eyes beyond the problem. God is still working. Your story is still unfolding. Your faith is still growing.Don’t let what you are going through make you forget who is taking you through it.And remember Paul’s words:“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.”— 2 Corinthians 4:17 (KJV)
I Declare: I count it all joy! My faith will not fail. My trials will produce testimony. My pain will produce purpose. God is working for my good, and I will see His goodness in my life. I will not quit, give up or lose my joy. The best is still ahead of me!
