“So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, my great army which I sent among you.” Joel 2:25 (NKJV)

Time, to human perception, flows in one direction only; backward into memory, forward into mystery. Once spent, it cannot be recovered. A moment lost to fear, a season lost to depression, a year lost to wrong decisions. These appear irreversible in the mathematics of this world.

But God operates outside the mathematics of time. He is not bound by chronology; He commands it. And His Word declares a stunning truth: He restores not just what was lost, but restores it according to His overflow, not according to your deficit.

Notice the mercy in this restoration: it does not merely return you to your previous position. When God restores years, He accelerates your progress. He compresses wisdom into months that would normally take years to accumulate. He opens doors that would have taken decades of conventional climbing to reach. Restoration in God is not recovery at the level of loss; it is recovery at the level of divine intention and surplus.

The “locusts” of your life; seasons of sickness, seasons of indecision, seasons of warfare, seasons of waiting; these were not final. They were thieves, but they were thieves on a leash held by a God who ultimately commands the outcome.

In your life right now, God is in the business of recovering what was lost and multiplying what remains. Trust His math. It is far superior to your accounting.

I Declare: My lost years are being restored with divine speed and supernatural multiplication.

Ignite Quote: When God restores time, He doesn’t just give back what was lost; He accelerates your future beyond what linear years could have achieved.

Reflection: What ‘locust season’ is God now healing in your life? How will you honor that restoration?
