Scripture: Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.
Before you were born, I set you apart for my holy purpose.
I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1:5 GW
Before Jeremiah ever spoke a prophetic word, God revealed a profound truth about his identity: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” This declaration establishes that our lives begin not with human intention, but with divine foreknowledge. God’s design precedes our awareness of it. Confidence in life is rooted in the assurance that we were known, chosen, and purposed by God long before we took our first breath.
Many insecurities arise when we measure ourselves by present limitations rather than eternal intention. God does not discover our purpose as we grow, He reveals it. What He designs, He sustains. Even seasons of weakness, confusion, or delay do not negate God’s plan; they often prepare us for it. When you understand that God intentionally shaped you, you stop questioning your worth and start trusting His wisdom.
Confidence in God’s design produces stability. You no longer strive to prove yourself or fear being overlooked. You rest in the truth that your life is unfolding according to God’s sovereign plan. What God foreknew, He will faithfully bring to pass.
I Declare: I am known, chosen, and designed by God. I walk confidently in His purpose, trusting that my life is in His hands.
