Character is expensive because it costs you something to build and maintain it. It costs you comfort to tell the truth, opportunity to refuse compromise, pride to admit when you are wrong, and sometimes relationships to stand for what is right. Character is choosing what is right when what is wrong appears easier, faster, or more profitable.

Jesus our perfect example demonstrated that character is formed through choices made under pressure. Your gifts may create opportunities, but your character determines what you do with them. A person can rise quickly through talent, connections, or charisma, but without character, success becomes difficult to sustain. Character gives credibility to influence and integrity to achievement.

Do not complain about the cost of character; embrace it as an investment in your destiny. The price may be high, but the reward is a life that can be trusted, a name that can be honoured, and a legacy that can outlive you. It is better to lose an opportunity than to lose your integrity.
