‎FINDING JESUS, FINDING REST‎‎

Scripture: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”Matthew 11:28 (NKJV)

‎‎The invitation of Jesus is simple: “Come to Me.” He does not say, come when you have solved your problems, overcome your weaknesses, or put your life in order. He invites the weary, the burdened and the exhausted to come just as they are. This reveals the heart of God: He is not waiting for you to become strong before you approach Him; He invites you to come because you need His strength. Many people are searching for rest in the wrong places, trying to find through possessions, achievements and human approval what only a relationship with Jesus can provide. When you find Jesus, you find the One who can give rest to your soul.

‎‎Notice that Jesus does not merely say, “I will give you answers,” or “I will change every circumstance.” He says, “I will give you rest.” Sometimes, His intervention changes the situation around you; at other times, His grace strengthens you to walk through the situation without losing your peace. His presence gives you somewhere to bring your fears, disappointments, questions and struggles. You no longer have to carry every burden alone. Finding Jesus means discovering that you have a Saviour who cares, a Shepherd who leads and a Lord whose grace is sufficient for your journey.‎‎

The tragedy is that many people want the rest Jesus gives without coming to Jesus Himself. They want His blessings but neglect His presence; they want His intervention but resist His invitation. Yet rest begins when we stop running from Him and start running to Him. Whatever has made your heart weary, hear His voice today: “Come to Me.” Come with your unanswered prayers, your hidden tears, your heavy responsibilities and your uncertain future. You may not have every answer yet, but you can find peace in the One who holds your life. The journey to rest begins with a response to Jesus.‎‎

I Declare: I respond to the invitation of Jesus. I bring every burden, fear and anxiety to Him. I receive His rest for my soul, His strength for my weakness and His grace for my journey. I will no longer carry alone what I can surrender to Him. My confidence is in Christ, my heart is anchored in His love, and my soul finds rest in His presence.

‎Ignite Quote:“Do not spend your life searching for what can only be found in Him. Find Jesus, and discover the rest your soul has been longing for.”‎‎
