Scripture:“Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.”. James 1:3 (KJV)
James gives us the reason we can count trials as joy: the trial is producing something.Faith that has never been tested can remain theoretical. But when pressure comes, what is inside us becomes visible.A difficult season can develop patience. Delay can develop endurance. Opposition can strengthen conviction. Disappointment can teach dependence on God.The goal is not simply to survive the trial.
The goal is to become stronger because you went through it.Think about a seed. Before it becomes a tree, it must go into the ground. The darkness beneath the soil does not mean the seed has been abandoned. Something is happening that cannot yet be seen.Perhaps your current season feels like darkness. Perhaps you cannot see progress. But God may be doing some of His deepest work beneath the surface.Don’t waste your pain by allowing it to make you bitter.
Let God use it to make you better.Your present difficulty is not necessarily a prediction of your future. It may be preparation for it.Think About It:What character, discipline or spiritual strength might God be developing in you through your present
I Declare: My trial will not destroy me; it will develop me. I am becoming stronger, wiser and more mature through Christ.
